Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve Malt Whisky 75cl
US IMPORT BOTTLING
By appointment to their late Majesties, Queen Victoria, King Edward VII and King George V.
Neighbour to the Queen's Highland castle, Balmoral, Royal Lochnagar is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries. It has just two exquisite little copper pot-stills.
The Lochnagar distillery was established in 1845. It was soon visited by an approving Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and shortly after this became Royal Lochnagar.
Royal Lochnagar remains true even today to it's simple origins as a farm. Whisky is still made here in stone buildings and even the former stables and corn lofts are put to good use.
Spring water flows down to the distillery through the balmoral estate from the lower slopes of Lochnagar, the forbidding summit to the south.
The exquisite little copper pot-stills, again amongst the smalles in Scotland, make a most refined malt, fit for all occasions.
The Selected Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a rich, fragrant aroma and an elegant smoothness on the palate. It is distinguished in character but not difficult.
It has been given the highest ratings in blind tastings by acknowledged experts.
