Bowmore Feis Ile 2011 15 Year Old Laimrig
A very rare opportunity to purchase the 2011 Feis Ile Commemoration bottling by Bowmore - Laimrig.
Bowmore, Islay's first Distillery and one of the oldest in Scotland, has stood on the shores of Loch Indaal on the magical hebridean Island of Islay since 1779.
During its maturation in our legendary warehouse, the number one vault, Mother Nature has slowly helped shape this unique spirit. Laimrig means sea landing or pier in Scots Gaelic, this name is inspired by the rugged location of Bowmore Distillery by Loch Indaal. While waves have relentlessly crashed off the warehouse walls, Bowmore Laimrig has been cosseted and refined by traditional specially selected oak casks.
The result is a spectrum of delight

Bowmore Laimrig - Sherry Cask Finished
Official Bowmore Tasting Notes:
Colour - Warm Teak.
Nose - Sweet dark sherry figs and cocoa balanced perfectly with smoky peatiness and a sea salt tang.
Palate - Rich, dark and chocolatey, sherry and raisins are met with a harmoniously smoky finish.
The finish is long and lingering.
